Urea Nitrogen Berthelot - Renal Applications

Urease hydrolysis→NH4+→NaOCl→Nitroprusside catalyzed indophenol (578nm) quantifies 5-120 mg/dL across BUN/Cr ratio calculation.

Clinical laboratories confirm prerenal azotemia (BUN/Cr>20). Sodium nitroprusside catalysis prevents lag-phase sensitivity loss.
